CNW was incorporated in 1978 to provide specialized consulting support to private, governmental, and NGO decision makers seeking to avert or resolve natural resource conflict.

Principal Ed Chaney personally provides all clients independent, broad perspective combined with command of the details. Additional specialists are handpicked as needed from a long-standing pool of senior associates.

CNW has worked on a wide variety of projects with complex political, legal, social, economic, cultural, and environmental issues.
